Ontario Dog Breeders

Welcome to our directory of Ontario dog breeders!  All of the listings for Ontario in our searchable, nationwide Canadian dog breeder directory appear below in alphabetical order by breed, and then by city within each category.

If you haven't already done so, do a bit of research on the different breeds.  You want to make the right choice for your family and lifestyle when choosing a dog breed!  Each breed has different traits and tendencies, and not every breed will be right for you.

What sort of things should you take into consideration?  Well, I think the most important factor to look at is the energy level of a breed.  If you can't give your dog at least an hour of exercise every day, maybe a high-energy breed like a border collie isn't the best for you.  Believe it or not, the size of a dog doesn't necessarily have much to do with it's energy levels.

A good breeder shouldn't hesitate to tell you if they feel that their breed doesn't sound like it would be a good fit for your family.  Their puppies are more important to them than a potential sale!

I have a handy dog breed selector quiz you can take to get an idea of some different breeds you might want to look at.  And a note of caution from one dog lover to another... don't go looking at puppies until you're sure which breed is right for you!  Because you'll fall in love with the little fuzz-balls before you know it :)

It's easy to use the directory - just click on any of the local dog breeder listings below that interest you. Each breeder has their very own page with details about their location, dogs, and contact information.
