Precision K9 Training Policies

While we love dogs, and love seeing them in class, we need to keep everyone happy, healthy and safe. Please don't bring your dog into the building if you know they have aggressive tendencies towards other dogs or humans. Talk to an instructor about private lessons to help with these problems.

Vaccinations

Prior to classes, you must show proof of current vaccinations for your dog. For dogs over 4 months of age, please be sure that they are up-to-date on DHPP and Rabies. Bordatella (or Kennel Cough) is optional. For puppies under 4 months, vaccinations should be age appropriate. You may email these to us prior to the first class, or show them at the first class. Remember, if you fail to do so, your dog will not be allowed to attend the course. In this case, you will not be given a refund.

Don't Be Late!

All classes start promptly, so if you are late, you will miss out on important information! Please arrive 10 to 15 minutes early to give your dog a chance to relieve themselves outside.

Leashes And Collars

All dogs must be leashed before entering the building. Please use a 6 foot leather or nylon leash for all classes. Only flat-buckle, martingale or prong collars are allowed for all obedience classes. Before classes begin, all other collars should be removed except for the one being used for training. NO flexi-leashes are permitted in the building!

More Than One Dog? No Problem!

If you have more than one dog, that's not a problem. You can enroll them both in the same course as long as each dog will have it's own handler. Otherwise, you will need to enroll them in separate courses.

No Sniffing Please!

In class, we ask that you keep your dog or puppy close to you. As we want the environment to be such that the dogs can learn quickly, there is a "no sniffing" rule during training sessions. Sometimes we will be integrating a dog with some aggression issues into a group setting, and it's for everyone's safety that we keep the dogs separate. Outside of class, feel free to let your dogs say hello!

Kids and Dogs

Kids are welcome to come to training classes. Children under fourteen need to have an adult with them at all times, though. Kids eight and up are allowed to actively participate in training during class, again, provided they have an adult with them.

Cancellations and Refunds

Private training sessions, make-up lessons and behavioural consultations may be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance. All late cancellations will be charged the full price. No refunds are given on any training classes, however, a credit may be issued depending on the situation.
